Who is Nedy?
Nedy is a soul pop singer/songwriter, currently active in the greater Seattle area.
She picked up basic music theory sporadically throughout her childhood in choir, band and listening to her favorite artists. Including, but not limited to:
-Paramore
-Jessie Reyez
-Alessia Cara
-Demi Lovato
-The Beatles
-Jojo
-Kesha
She moved to Washington in 2017, where she began performing at open mics a few years later at the age of 22. For the next two years, she developed her songwriting until eventually, in 2021 during the pandemic, she experienced a situationship that has since changed her life forever.
“It gave me something relatable to write about, and now it is my mission as a musician to help my audience embrace their emotions. Too often we’re taught to distrust ourselves. I want the world to feel again.”
Besides music, Nedy spends too much time watching random deep dives and movie commentaries on YouTube, as well as reading historical fiction and singing whatever song catches her fancy, whether on or off the mic.
